Pamukkale
About Tour
Pamukkale is a natural wonder located in southwestern Turkey, near the city of Denizli. It is famous for its white travertine terraces, which are formed by mineral-rich hot springs. The name “Pamukkale” means “cotton castle” in Turkish, and the terraces do indeed resemble a castle made of cotton.
The hot springs at Pamukkale have been used as a spa since ancient times, and the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis are located nearby. Visitors can bathe in the hot springs and pools, walk along the terraces, and explore the ancient ruins.
In addition to the travertine terraces and ancient ruins, Pamukkale is also home to a number of other natural and cultural attractions, including the nearby Kaklik Cave, the Denizli Bazaar, and the local textile and ceramics industries.
